Anatoly Bobrovsky is the best tractor racer twice
Anatoly Bobrovsky a mechanizer from CJSC “Kirov stud farm” (Rostov region) won tractor championship again. It is the first time over 7-year history of Bizon Track Show.
The distance was over 8000 meters. Six stages of hot contest: risky curves, deep ditches, dangerous hills. The drivers were like real bisons. There was a hard battle between tens of racers aged from 23 to 60.
The first trials were “Driveway” (1100 м) and “Off-road” (680 м) against definite time. Twenty strongest pilots were defined.
The next stage “Circuit race” (860 m) they got in pairs. Ten passes with track change. Starting together the tractors got their own way and then 200 meters before finish their ways merged again. At that moment it seemed that a crash was imminent. Ten pilots showed their steady nerves. But unfortunately Ivan Zabrodin, a champion of 2008, left the distance.
«Silo» (30 m) was a stage for checking rate of response. In minimal time the participants were to make three passes up and down and to knock down the start and finish crossbeam.
At the semi-final there was a pair heat in two circles (990 m) and each of five pilots had a chance to compete with every one of participants. Alexander Chumak (№ 18, “Stepnoy” farm) and Roman Struk (№ 11, LLC “Sadky”) were the 3d and the 4th. Anatoly Bobrovsky and Alexander Chekalov continued the fight for the grand prize which was “Belarus” tractor of special design.
Fifteen thousand of sideliners could not just take a breath between the stages of the competition. Acrobatics operation was showed by Sergey Sukhovenko at the specially designed super tractor.
— We tried to make a competition in racing, skill and gumption, — said Sergey Sukhovenko. — at the track you should think several moves ahead. You should know where it is better to give the dust and where to give the road.
Powerful Fendt 936 tractors gave an extreme show. They got on their rare wheels and made a pyramid. Small Italian Goldoni tractor slipped through the gap between them.
Culmination of the competition was a paired race with barrels in cross track (770 m). The sideliners stood in waiting. Flag cue and two tractors varoomed downhill. The pilots changed the tracks and disappeared in dust clouds. People cried down the varoom. In two heats the finish was crossed by № 17. It’s a win!
— On the sixth of May my daughter Ann was born. – Anatoly Bobrovsky imparted his happiness. — I give my victory to her. When I won four years ago it was happiness. Now I am happy in double: I am a father and a champion again!
The “Leader” tractor, the prize of 2005 helped Anatoly this year. Before the competition he drove in ravines and balks of his native place of living. The efforts made a result. Now they have two prize tractors in CJSC “Kirov Stud farm”.
