Bizon resumed working of test fields in 2007-2008 agricultural years.
Thanks to implementation of resource-saving technologies and using modern technique, Bizon Company succeed in increasing the yield of headed croppers at the test fields of Krasnocutskoe and Zarya Dona farms in 1.5 times. Gross grain harvest is 22500 tones. Average yield capacity is 46 centner per hectare.
- We are satisfied with present grain crops yield in our farms, taking into consideration their previous condition – said Alexander Garmashev, chief agrotechnologist of Bizon. — For the complete switch to resource-saving technologies it is necessary to increase soil quality and to level the fields. I am sure that for two years we will succeed in making the kind of standard agricultural enterprise.
From two farms we have 4166 tones of sunflower. Average yield is 24 centner per hectare. Millet is milled, there are 500 tones, and it is at average 40 centner per hectare.
Next year Bizon’s agrotechnologists are planning to bring flax and some oil plants into farming rotation for evaluating economic efficiency of their culture and for selecting necessary equipment.
During farm work 53 samples of agricultural techniques from 16 native and foreign producers have been tested: tractors, harvesters, cutters, cultivators, seeders, fertilization equipment. Experimental operation let Bizon find out design defects for 6 items of equipment. After debugging the equipment will be tested again at “Zarya Dona” and “Krasnokutskoe” farms. 47 samples are found fully useful and they are accepted for realization through the Company’s network.
Test fields also make important demonstration function. They are regularly visited by delegations of agrarians from Rostov and Volgograd regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol areas. They estimate technologies, techniques and results which they give. During the year over 250 farms met the experience of the Company.
Bizon started realization of the agroproduction project in 2007. The Company founded enterprises LLC “Krasnokutskoe” and LLC “Zarya Dona”. Total area of the farms is over 12000 hectares. The object of test fields is a test run of new agrotechnologies and equipment for its realization in natural and climatic conditions of the South of Russia.
