Here everything is like in a real life. Off-road, deep ditches, unexpected turns and the knee high dirt. It is necessary to overcome obstacles at the highest possible speed level of the tractor leaving behind the rivals who are also rushing to the victory. Once a year in front of thousands of spectators eyes machine operators turn to a desperate racers. An extreme tractor rally become a kind of a hymn to the rural workers.
The ninth annual tractor races «Bison Track Show» became a serious challenge even for the most experienced competitors. The weather herself made an emphasis on overcoming of water obstacles contrary to the organizers expectations. Three-hour downpour on the eve of the tournament turned 8-kilometer track to slippery rink with heavy mud areas. The task for 37 Russian and foreign pilots was complicated also due to the head-to-head type of struggle. Five of six races were paired which increased the probability of tractors’ crashes and hitting the marbles.
The single in Russia tractor races presented to participants and viewers a lot of surprises. While overcoming the obstacles one pilot overturned and five other tractors suffered of driven load. Due to strict security policy the competitions were held without incidents.
The most entertaining and unpredictable were the final ring races with the change of tracks. In the fight for third place a two-time champion of tractor races Anatoly Bobrovski came first to the finish, having left behind Ali Akhmetov. In a battle for first and second places an experienced tractor racer Alexander Chekalov unexpectedly was left behind by Aleksei Kuporov who has never before won these competitions. The winner took to his farm the main prize of «Bison Track Show» — American Tractor Challenger.
About 20 thousand visitors from Russia, CIS and foreign countries became the spectators of this swashbuckling tractor fights. Many of them arrived at the village feast with their families. Governor Vasily Golubev also watched the race, surrounded by his family too. According to his opinion Bison Track Shaw is working on the image of the Rostov region as a major agricultural region of the country, contributes to promoting the profession of machine operator and the involvement of youth in agricultural sector.
